Will medicare pay for a c pap machine after one quits working, and it was 6 years olds?
I WAS DIAGNOSED IN 2001 WITH SLEEP APNEA AND RECEIVED A C PAP MACHINE. IT QUIT WORKING AND NOW THAT I AM RETIRED, JUST WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT GETTING ANOTHER C PAP MACHINE SO I CAN REST AND SLEEP AT NIGHT. THANKS

This machine should be covered under DME (durable medical equipment) under Part B Medicare. If you have a private insurance company besides Medicare you should call them up and find out the best way to order. Usually Medicare pay 80% of Medicare approved Items while some private insurers pay more. Try the link i provided above and you shoul find all the specific answers

Contact the home health company you received your CPAP machine from, they should be able to give you an answer to this immediately. Don’t put it off…get some sleep:)
