What is this shocking feeling on or in my tongue?

I have sleep apnea and wear a cpap machine at night. For the past couple of weeks I have been getting this shock feeling on my tongue. It wakes me up. Sometimes it hurts really bad and other times not so much. I thought I was getting shocked by my cpap machine but I don’t think that is it. Can anyone tell me what this could be?
