My mom may have a sleep disorder and we do not know what it is. She falls to sleep very easy, all she has to do is lay down. Half the time she is not even tired. Then when morning comes she has trouble waking up. Someone has to call her in order for her to wake up all the way or she will fall back to sleep. She is not having irregular dreams or breathing patterns, but I am very concerned about her.
Where I work you have to be alert at all times( at Chase Bank in the collections department)this guy who sits in front of me is always sleeping. so one day me & a couple of other co-workers watched him for a while.what he does it falls into a deep sleep(snoaring & everything) then when a call comes in he’ll wake right up and take the call as if he wasnt sleeping. Before he went on the phones by himself we caught him sleeping while he was standing. He’s still in training but on the phones. Do you guys think its some kind of sleep disorder or something?…and Im wondering if the company knows.
How is a sleep disorder diagnosed and what are the signs necessary for you to take a sleeping pill?
I’ve tried to get shifted back gradually a bit everyday but I tend to want to sleep the first half of the day and then function normally until around 3 or 4 in the a.m. I don’t know if I should see a sleep disorder physician or not.
Hi yahoo answers tell me the cases which affect sleep disorder……….
Does anyone else have a serious sleep problem? The VA finally diagnoised me as having Sleep Apnea and I’m using a CPAP machine but my problem is still getting worse. My doctor keeps telling me that the CPAP machine will help my problem but I believe I have a more serious sleep disorder or some type of insomia. I see no changes in my sleep using this machine and I’m actually getting even worse sleep. I’ve only gotten about 10 days of good sleep since January and its seriously affecting my health.
It got so bad that I had to go on disability from work.
in pyschology class we watched this show on sleep disorders. and there were these people who had this one sleep disorder that made them sleep for weeks or months straight. and i forgot what it was called. so what is it called? thanks =)
Can depression or anxiety be caused by a sleep disorder (specifically Circadian Rhythm Sleep Disorder) or is the sleep disorder caused by the depression and anxiety? Or can it be either?
My husband is constantly complaining that he doesn’t sleep, or doesn’t sleep well. I know that he is sleeping because I wake up and he is snoring. Or son has woke up many times screaming from a nightmare, and my husband never wakes up. He is in the other room, but still gets very loud. I sometimes have to bring him in the bed with my husband and I, and my husband still never wakes up. Is this a mental thing, or does he have some sort of sleep disorder?
I have mentioned to my doctor that lately I have been feeling extremely fatigued during the day. I go to bed about 8 PM and usually go right to sleep and wake up about 2 AM. I 90% of the time I wake up on my right side of face down with my head to the right. However, I get the impression that I wake up for brief, but frequent episodes during the night. On weekends and holidays I usually sleep 12 to 14 hours a night and sometimes even take naps during the day. I never feel as if I get enough sleep. All routine medical tests for what could possible cause fatigue such as potassium, hemoglobin and thyroid function, have all been within normal parameters. The only other thing I though of that might be causing it is a sleep disorder. When I mentioned this to my doctor, she just phoo-phooed that idea. I live alone, so there’s no one to tell me if I snore or have episodes of apnea. How could I tell otherwise?
hi yahoo answers tell me the ways to manage sleep disorder and tell me the ideas…
just wondering if this is normal. Ive been taking provigil for narcolepsy on and off for 2 years, and i finally started taking it every day again and ive noticed that i have little to no appetite when i take it. is this normal with provigil or other sleep disorder medications?
I know I read about this somewhere, but I need to know the name or where I can find out about it.
Apparently, a normal human takes about 30 minutes to begin dreaming, and according to the sleep disorder, the person will begin dreaming immediatly, within minutes.
Can anyone recall the name?
I can go to bed and be sleepy, but I can’t sleep. I’ll lay in bed for hours before I finally fall asleep around 3 AM, and it sucks because I have school. Then on the weekends when I don’t have school, I’ll go to bed when I want, which is like at 3-4 AM, and sleep, but wake up several times in the morning, but fall asleep soon after waking up. It’s been this way for a long time now. Do I have a sleep disorder?
I’m a 13 yr old female i fall asleep around 11:15-11:30 and wake up at 7:45 sometimes later but i’m always tired could i have a sleep disorder

Hi yahoo answers tell me how to rectify the sleep disorder…
I want to know what all it entails to get a sleep disorder diagnosis. I just don’t know if I could sleep being hooked up to a machine and if I gotta go to the bathroom, I’m not going to use a bed pan either!
Also, if you are being treated or have been, how much has it helped you? I’m so tired and sleepy all the time and am getting worse.
Thanks so much!
My son is a bedwetter. He is 13 and we need to change this. I have read alot and searched the internet for answers. The most logical thing Ive found is inherited deep sleep disorder. There are places that will help you change the sleep paterns. I have most of the info I need to do my own program with him but I cant get him to wake up In the middle of the night. He can get up and carry on a conversation with me but he never remembers it in the morning, and from what Ive read that means he was not awake. He was in a sleep walking stage. We cant afford one of these programs right now as they cost 0- a couple thousand dollars. We need your help
I have like a sleep disorder , everday i get like 5 hours of sleep . I wonder can this impact your height ?
im 17 , male ,and still one inch shorter then my dad . And im skinny with barely any armpit hair .
what classes do you need to be a sleep disorder specialist?
I know its a sleep disorder, i forgot what its called. My doctor wanted me to go to some sleep clinic. I would just stay awake the entire time. I just want to know if anyone elese has this trouble and how to correct it.
I am suspect of sleep neurologists who keep pushing an apnea diagnosis as the problem (vs. narcolepsy, for example) even if a sleep study shows differently. It seems each dr. is located next door to CPAP machine rentals. I'm wondering if they are part owners or stock holders drumming up business. Just asking…
I've been to 3 drs. All said the same thing after stating the sleep tests only showed mild apnea. Sleep apnea is considered a sleep disorder and neurologists are usually the treating physician.
what is the best way to cure sleep disorder?
is there any fruit/drinks that helps you sleep on the night when you can't sleep?
