Last year May I was diag. with bacterial vaginosis and treated with a dose of 3 pills at one time. (I also had an abnormal pap & colposcopy which came out negative.) I did not feel right and went back recently. I was diag. with vaginosis again and was given Flagyl for 7 days. I saw my regular MD for the past month for other symptoms, after a urine test said I had a UTI and gave me a dose of Cipro (3 pills/3 days.) I have finished this dosing and still 2 weeks later know that I am not right. I am going to go back t the Gyn again for a 4th treatment. Before the summer I have never had anything like this not even a yeast infection.

I have been going to my MD for other symptoms such has palpitations, high blood pressure (145/100), dizzy spells, nausea spells, fatigue, headaches, ear infections, flushing, periods of low body temp (94 deg) and low pulse, night sweats, sleep apnea and brown spots on my back. Now Im just nervous that the bacterial vaginosis could be a sign something else??

I have no clue, but it’s possible. Here’s a list of things people think I have.
-type 1 diabetes
-A.D.D
-sleep apnea

And now here are some symptoms others and myself have noticed I have.
-stress
-bad mood
-urinating frequently
-increased thirst (drinking lots of water lately)
-I’m always tired now
-I have bad memory during the day
-I sometimes wake up with sore throats
-every once in a while I get this like sour/sweet breath
-Some days I get really hungry, some days I barely eat anything
-I’ve been getting a lot of headaches lately ( I rarely got them before and no it’s not because theres been more noise)
-I have pretty bad anxiety
-I can rarely focus for a long time
-I always give up on things if I don’t them right the first time even though I know I should give up
-I get really frustrated when I try to do home work/school work or a lot of things
-I’m almost always worrying or nervous about something

Shall I go on?
I don’t know I think i’m just being a hypochondriac. What do you think?
In case this helps I just turned 15.

Thanks you for all the serious answers I got.

so from time to time i get this pressure in my head or tightness or something, and i get dizzy, unbalanced, and feel weird. it also causes stabbing pain that is not severe but mild and goes away then it comes back, and sometimes i get headaches that last 5-15 minutes or 5-10. like at 4 in the morning i wake up and have a bad headache but then it goes away and i go to sleep 2 min later, and i wake up feeling tired, but no headache. i sometimes feel vertigo, lightheaded, dizzy, and shaky but shaking very little and its my fingers and arms. i get bone pain from time to time and sometimes feel stiff and feeling paralyzed but when i hit, scratch myself i can feel it and i can also move. when i breath i hear a whistling sound high pitched and usually when i get bad i get shortened of breath too. my face hurts to but not bad and i get stiff in my jaw and hurts. oh and my forehead hurts to but goes away like a second later. my neck feels stiff to and it hurts there to but it goes away maybe an hour later with all the other things my head. i watch a lot of tv and use computer really close. i sometimes get caught up on my speech and i forget recent things but not severely. i think i have sleep apnea, but not so sure because my mom said i would gasp for air
when i was yoounger but now in the past week i haven’t experienced it, or my moms.i am also under a lot of stress lately thinking about what’s wrong with me and if i might die. i recently stopped working out and exercising like a month ago, playing football and before that track and field. really heavy stuff.REALLY SORRY ABOUT ALL OF THIS BUT NEED TO KNOW WHAT’S HAPPENING. AND I HAVE ALREADY BEEN TO DOCTOR. SAID IT WAS NOTHING BUT I THINK IT’ S SOMETHING. ANSER PLEASE
i’m 15. 5"10. and 210 lbs
i’m 15. 5"10. and 210 lbs. oh and do i have sinus problems cause i ;m getting pain in face like jaw, right, andeyes, and forehead

I also have anxiety problems and I take zoloft. I wonder if that affects my sleeping. My father also has VERY bad sleep apnea. when the doctors watched him sleep he woke up 600 times and almost went into cardiac arrest twice. My symptoms are: staying awake at night, feeling of butterflies in my stomach, extreme sleepiness in the mornings, horrible and weird dreams, headaches often, getting flushed during the day, alot of other stuff! ahhh and i have really bad hearing. HELP!

I am a 30 year old woman – who is 40lbs overweight (according to dr charts) and has moderate asthma – Often when sleeping I wake-up sweating, can feel my heart through my back, get headaches, have to use my inhaler (though it doesn’t always seem to work at night), get restless legs – and feel sluggish sometimes and have headaches for a couple of days that seem untreatable then they disappear, only to reappear later that month. The Dr. ran all kinds of tests, thyroid and such, but to no avail – she never mentioned sleep apnea, but I saw a tv special about it and both my parents have sleep apnea… The thing is that my dr never recommended that I get the sleep study, so do I go and ask for one (maybe she’ll think I’m crazy), or do I just go and get it done – I have a PPO so referrals are not necessary. TIA

Lately evenmore so than usual, I feel really tired and rundown even after a good 7 hour sleep. I’ve also been really down in my concentration levels. I’ve been really busy and I just related it to stress but, after talking with my new roommate, she tells me that at night i sometimes let out a snore that lasts like three seconds and then it just stops (and it may repeat like 2 or three times a night) and she says sometimes i’ll start to take deep breaths. But I also breathe really shallowly throughout the day and I’ll randomly take deep breaths on occation then too.
I looked up sleep apnea online and i didnt have some of the symptoms such as the headaches, kicking around, and I dont fall asleep all over the place, I’m just really mentally and physically tired.
so what do you think?

I’m going to an AME for the first time. If you had a condition that required a "special issuance", had all the appropriate documentation to present at the time of the examination, what time frame are we talking about to actually get the student pilot and 3rd class medical? The condition is sleep apnea, well controlled, documented electronic compliance with therapy at 100% for 3 years, letter from physician treating it, stating that all pre-treatment conditions (sleepiness, headaches) are resolved, and all paperwork in hand from polysomatographic studies. Is this something that the AME can do? Will they have to defer to the regional flight surgeon? or to Oklahoma City?

my blood pressure is down and my headaches are down but I still have:

1. mental fatigue

will this get better in time……..???

I found out I have severe sleep apnea..I have been exhausted, headaches, tired all day for 5 years..im 38…my ankles and legs swelled up really bad & I lost leg hair on my left leg..I had blood tests and no other health problems..Doctor says my rapid weight gain is probably from sleep apnea???

My dad, he’s in his early 50s, and i would say that he probably isn’t the healthiest one in the world. He has these following symtoms:

sour stomach and sour taste on his tongue, which the doctor says it’s acid reflux. They gave him acid reflux med.

Headaches that sometimes makes him throw up, but nothing really comes out, he says he just feels better when he lets the air out. ???
The doctor says it’s migrains.

tired during the day a lot, takes naps. i think it might be sleep apnea but he doesn’t believe me.

And now the doctor says he’s depressed and says his migranes are psychological because he’s to worried about things and he doesn’t have much of a social life.

If you have any idea what this might be, please let me know or if you might know someone who has this symptoms. We have been to so many doctors and they just don’t take us seriously.
He also is pretty lightheaded from all the med. that the doctor prescribes him but the doc says it’s psycological again.

I have the machine and have used it now for about 5 days. However, I have been waking up with a horrible headache about 4am the last 3 days. I have the humidifier on the machine and was wondering if maybe I need to move it up a notch?? Since this is all so new to me I have no idea what is causing the headaches. Its sooo bad I cant go back to sleep with the mask on.

I am only 25 yrs old and have sleep apnea, the obstructive form. I completed two sleep studies that have confirmed this but, medicaid will not pay for the c-pap machine b/c the score for my study reflect that it is not "severe" enough for them to pay. Now, I am using provigil as a "band-aid" its okay, but the side effects are causing me headaches and I take seasonique birth control pills, I was told there was a 5% chance of impregnation, which is low, but I still worry a little. My doctor’s office was suppose to put me on a list to get a "loaner" and/or "free" c-pap machine, but I was told yesterday that this will only be considered after I start regularly seeing the doctor while I am on the provigil and still maybe not until January, if then. I am suppose to graduate form college in may, I need this sleeping disoreder corrected asap, it is effecting my life horribly and my education. Thanks serious responses only.

Last week, the doctors found out that I have sleep apnea. They ordered a CPAP machine for me and I have been using it now for four nights. It seems to help me sleep longer, and my headaches went away. I must be sleeping better, but I still feel a little tired during the day. Does it take time to feel better? Or could it be that I am not getting enough pressure. Thank you for your answer.

Here are his symptoms: SNORING, stops breathing at times, night sweats, sore throat, headaches, daytime sleepiness. He can take a nap at anytime during the day! And it only takes him about a minute to fall asleep! He stays up late, and is constantly waking up during the night, too. It’s starting to really affect my sleep! I NEED HELP!

I think i might have sleep apnea, my mother thinks so too.
I can’t go to the doctor because we dont have the money..so?
Well here are some what you could call problems/symptoms.
1. I have headaches everyday..Moderate to severe pain.
2. I get dizzy when I bend over or get up.
3. Im really i mean REALLY tired. I sleep about 10-12 hours a night. It gets bad sometimes..i fall asleep in class and everything. I even take naps when i get home.
4. Shortness of breath? idk ….
5. Im very cranky or moody

So please and thanks for the answers :]… :l

I’ve had several test where overnight I wore the thing on my finger to test my oxygen saturation levels, and apparently the levels went down because now the Dr. has ordered an oxygen concentrator to wear at night. We’re doing another oxygen level test in a few weeks, to see if the concentrator helps. I’m just wondering if this is a normal first step, because I see a lot of people on here use other things. I’ve also noticed that I’m waking up with horrible headeaches after sleeping with the oxygen, is that normal?
It’s just a normal concentrator with a humidifier bottle and nasal canula. I don’t think the headaches are from it being too tight, because it only goes over my ears and is just tight enough that it doesn’t fall off.

My dad is very stubborn. I am so sure he has sleep apnea because I looked up the symptoms and he pretty much matches all of them. Loud snoring, long pauses in his breathing (20-30 seconds), extreme sleepiness throughout the day, irritability, fatigue, mood changes, and headaches. Sleep apnea can cause serious problems in one’s life and I am so scared for my father. When ever we go out to a hotel on vacation and have to sleep in the same room, I can hear the pauses in his breathing and it freaks me out because I am afraid he is going to die or something. I asked him why he doesn’t go to the doctor so he can get treatment, but he insisted that everything was okay. My dad hates admitting he is wrong. How can I convince him that he needs to see a doc asap so he won’t have to continue having these problems? Its really taking a toll on me also (the irritability and mood changes). Thanks for taking the time to read this. :]

My husband has sleep apnea but it is’nt being treated yet, he has an appointment in July. He has been experiencing headaches and now his left arm is going numb, can this be from sleep apnea?

I was wondering what some of the psychological effects of a sleep apnea is? I haven’t had the test done to see if I in fact have a sleep apnea, but are these symptoms a possibility of a Sleep Apnea?

-Tired ALL day every day
-Headaches
-Very tired in the morning, as if I didn’t sleep at all
-Anxiety/depression
-Feeling sick all the time
-Worrying about my health all the time
-Wake up extremely thirsty
-Chest or abdominal pains
-Paranoia to a certain extent
-Urinating a lot at night/morning

Anything else to suggest this? Also, what does a Sleep Apnea test consist of?

Thank you

So here is my problem. Everyday for the past 10 days give or take a day I wake up around noon, feel tired most of the day, get a throbbing headache around 8-9 PM, take motrin which almost always cures it, go to sleep around 2-3 AM. I have bene researching sleep apnea and the symptoms. I do no wake up suddently in the middle of the night nore fall alseep during the day, just feel tired. I also have terrible later summer allergies, which I think may be the true culprit. I haev alwasy had them though and have never had headaches like these. any suggestions would be great. thanks

I have sleep apnea…or atleast I think I do. People tell me that when I sleep, I stop breathing for awhile and make noises like I am choking. Is this sleep apnea? And if it is, does it cause headaches throughout the day? Because I have headaches almost everyday and I can’t think of what causes them.

OK, first I was wondering of the symptoms of sleep apnea, like fatigue in the mornings, headaches, etc.

Second, I was wondering if it was possible for me to have sleep apnea but not ever remember waking up. Also, my boyfriend says he doesn’t notice anything but he always falls asleep before me and sleeps very heavily.

Additional: I used to snore and my dr. said it was highly likely I had OBSTRUCTIVE apnea, my throat was blocked by my tonsils. I had them removed but the fatigue, headaches, symptoms, etc. haven’t gone away at all.

What is the name for the apnea that is caused by a malfunction of your brain? Is it possible for me to have that type?
—additional: no, I am not overweight but do endure high levels of stress

I have been diagnosed with a deviated septum, and am undergoing surgery for it at the beginning of next year. I informed my doctor about these headaches I've been having in the morning. Well they're a little different from headaches, more like pressure above my eyes. I find the longer I sleep the worse they become. Also after sleeping about six hours I find it impossible to go back to bed without waking up at least every hour. I had a sleep test done, but according to that I didn't have sleep apnea. I'm wondering if the results could be wrong seeing as I was only able to sleep for about half an hour and they must not have been able to collect enough data. Could this pressure above my eyes be a sign of sleep apnea, or could they just be due to my deviated septum? I also find I don't really get overly sleepy in the day, however if I'm lying down and watching T.V or reading I will dose off.
