In the last four months, I’ve had a Ct scan, Hide-a-Scan, two heart studies, three halter monitors, sleep study,Sonogram, full body bone scan, endoscopy and complete blood work up. My cholesterol was slightly above normal. The sleep study showed I have sleep apnea. ( I now wear a C-Pap @ 17 psi w/ 5 lpm o2). The endoscopy showed some signs of mild damage due to aspirin and tylenol taken for the pain. The CT scan showed mild degeneration of L1 & L2 but otherwise nothing significant. (History of prostate cancer. Dr thought maybe the cancer had metastasized into the spine but bone scan showed no evidence of cancer) Moderate to severe pain in RUQ was diagnosed as costal condritis. Symptoms of this are improving.
Bone chilling fatigue haunts me. I’m fairly certain that this is a direct result of the low o2 sats.
Any ideas? So far, the doctors have not found out the problem. Thanks!
Im 11 weeks pregnant with twins, my dr sent me for a sleep study because I am so tired and have not been sleeping well. They said that when i get into a deep sleep my oxygen level drops in half. Yjey put a c pap on me for the second half of the test and still didnt see much improvment. Anyone eles had this? Really worried about the babies. I have been so stressed like they need anymore stress.
They******************* sorry for any typos
I’m 30f and a big girl, 5’9 225. I’ve had two sleep studies and have been using a c-pap for over 4 years now.. I still wake up a couple of times a night and sometimes my mouth is drooling and wet. I do stay asleep longer than I did before c-pap, at one time I woke every hour and a half. But on the whole my symptoms don’t seem that much different than before the c-pap. It’s been going on so long that I’ve just accepted it. Is it normal? Should I be doing something about it? I also have diabetes and asthma.
I can’t use a C PAP.I tried for a month and gave up due to sleep deprivation. it doesn’t help anyway.
this is not obstructive. my air ways are open. it is more a neurological problem I think.
I have a co worker who is the same age with the same diagnosis. We were diagnosed in the same year, so we assume we have had the disease for about the same amount of time. We both have the C-Pap. He is not on oxygen during the day. I am on oxygen therapy 24/7.
He has been a smoker. He had pneumonia last year , and it seems his disease has begun progressing much more rapidly than mine. He has been hospitalized, and needed a respirator twice in the last six months.
Is this a usual sequence for this condition?
I’m getting a C-PAP for sleep apnea. I took a sleep test and they told they have never seen it so bad in someone so "young". I’m 34 yrs old. I’ve heard stories going both ways. Some say it helps, some say it doesn’t. Fortunatly there are way more stories about C-PAP being a positive thing. I was just wondering what people’s personal experiences have been. I am always tired. I feel like I am walking around asleep all day. Very hard to concentrate. The more I sleep the worse I feel. I wake up sometimes and the back of my head is sweaty. I have body twitching, restless leg syndrome. I am getting my machine in about 2 weeks. I hope it helps. I don’t what else to do.
I have sleep apnea and use a C PAP. I had a brain seizure (lasted 10 min.) and had many test run and nothing was found wrong. My neurologist thinks my seizure was related to my sleep apnea. I take anti-seizure meds. and don’t know of having another seizure. Has anyone heard of this problem?

I had sleep apnea for 10 year before being diagnosed and starting treatment. I am now experiencing focus and concentration problems, and they are starting to effect my job. I have been using a C-PAP since diagnosis 10 years ago. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas what to do about it?
PS-My doctor put me on stratera, and I don’t have ADD or ADHD. Anyone else tried this?
I am 34, 145-150 lbs. 5’6" and diagnosed with a light case of Sleep Apnea in 2003. I’ve been on a CPAP machine now for about 9 mos. I am currently using the ResMed S8 Series C-PAP (pressure: 10) with a nasal pillow mask which seems to be working for me. I average 7-8 hours of sleep per night, but even after sleeping all night I still feel tired all day and find it hard to concentrate and listen. Almost daily, my appetite seems to lessen by dinner and I feel really drained. Sometimes It’s like feeling hungry and nausea at the same time (really weird). I’ve had tests done for thyroid, blood count, etc. which all came back normal. I can’t stay up late like I used to and I’m just really trying to get back my energy. I can’t remember the last time I actually woke up so refreshed that I was ready to go. I was just wondering if anyone else with apnea is experiencing these symptoms? If so, were you able to correct it? If not, perhaps this is some other problem yet to be diagnosed…?
I am aware of the C-PAP and the operation for uvula reduction but are there any others out there? I Googled it and really came up with only these two or variations thereof.
I am working on loosing 40 pounds right now. I had a rather severe injury that laid me up and I gained weight but am on the down swing, thanks all, this helped!
I feel like my mind is weak because I had sleep apnea all through school. I am in my mind 20's and have sleep apnea due to the structure of my body (I am not overweight which is the usual cause). I did ok in school but I just feel like I didn't absorb everything I needed to. What would you do? I know use C-PAP and have been for a few month and am feeling a lot better.
