Sleeping problems for life?
ok when i was younger i suffered from sleep apnea then i had my tonsils removed and eventhough i still have problems breathing at night it helped alot.
then a while ago i had insomnia and i didn’ sleep for about 6 days straight then i slept for about 5-6 hours then was up for another 4 days and after the fouth day i went to the doctor and got treatment for it.
now im having nightmares that are gorey and death related and night terrors all the time. and on the days i don’t deal with that i have sleep paralysis (old hag syndrome).
i have no idea why i have all these problems at such a young age and it so horrible that i’m scared to go to sleep i would just like any advice or if anyone has the same thing tell me what you do or if you know what i have tell me.
p.s im 15 and diabetic suffering from depression but dealing with it without medication.
ok i’m on meds for the depression but this has been going on way before i started taking it.

I had horrific night terrors when I was a kid, so you have my sympathies on that one. Thank goodness they went away. I was told that I am extremely creative and right brained dominate. Art therapy might help you a bit. I love music, try and fall asleep to that!
Because you have blood sugar issues and depression–I would call the doctor again. My friend experienced a manic episode–stress and her sugar went high, the doctor told her that mania can be brought on by high sugar.
This sound a little bipolar to me. Also, if you take pills to help you sleep they may be having a negative effect on you.
If I have anything with caffeine past 6 p.m., well, it’s going to be a long night.
If you doctor brushes this off, get a second opinion. Or tell him you need to pursue this and have him refer you to a therapist and maybe a psychiatrist. Just going and talking to someone will help a lot!
But I just have to tell you, exercise, yoga, for me personally, has helped me physically, spiritually and especially mentally!
Good luck with your problem.
Your serotonin is all out of whack… I have depression and sometimes insomnia goes along with it. You need to get on some medication to take care of all of your problems before they effect your physical health. See a board certified psychiatrist to get on the proper medication and treatment.
ask your doctor to check your thyroid. my wife had thi problem about 15 years ago ,she is on agood medication now and she has no problems now a simple blood test is all you needgood luck to you.
