Take the poor little guy to a specialist. I’m surprised the doctors haven’t done this yet. Breathing issues shouldn’t be ignored. Definitely have him see a specialist.
My daughter was born with stretched vocal chords, which caused her to have breathing issues, but only sometimes.
so take him to his doctor then… could be serious?
could be asthma
stop asking us questions, and take you’re child to the doctor. If it is sleep apnea he needs to get medical attention.
Go to your doctor and have them check him out! It’s not going to hurt him just to get checked out right? I wish you best wishes

no kind of answer to give except dr…but i’m sure that’s common sinse…good luck.
May have asthma. Take your baby to the doctor
He could have sleep apnea if asthma’s been ruled out. Tell the doctor about your concerns and do it ASAP, you wouldn’t want something terrible to happen.
my son had sleep apnea and it was decided around 12 months it had gone on 2 long slowly getting worse so they operated taking his tonsils + adanoids out
he was like a different little boy the very next day
is this something that your son could have? my son was so ratty during the day due to the distured sleep
Get the baby checked on by a doctor. My uncle (Ok big age difference I know…) has sleep apnea and it is serious. Your baby could have it, really, get an appointment.
He may have allergies to something in the house .do you smoke in the house. do you have a dog or cat.. these can be problems. This is the time of year for cold and flu. The best thing for little ones is a simple saline solution. If you think its something more see an ear nose and throat doctor. My son is a nose breather and he would really have to work to breath. We took him to the doctor and the removed his tonsils which werent infected but just huge for his little body. He also had an allergy to pet dander. so no dogs allowed.
Ignoring this can lead to terrible problems in the future
could be sleep abnia. does his foot start moving around…usually means they are having trouble getting enuff air. or asthma? do you have a nebulizer? my son needed one now they are saying he has a nasal drip which causes his coughing and constant runny nose and yes especially at night. the sleep abnia can be very dangerous?
I would definatly get him seen as soon as you can. I dont know if they do sleep studies on infants or not? There were only adults there when I had mine done a few years back. The Dr needs to get a hold on this right away, its not healthy for anyone to not get enough oxygen and proper sleep. Anytime anyone has a breathing problem, they need to get seen at the Drs or ER right away. Asthma is a killer. People who cannot breath, do not need to make Dr appts, they just go in, and at the ER they are a priority, lack of oxygen causes brain damage if left unchecked.
I would take him in. Make an appointment immediately. I can’t diagnose peoples conditions over the internet but I would suggest taking him in because I would assume this is painful for him and also quite annoying and it could turn deadly if you don’t get him looked at by a specialist just to be completely safe. Its better to go in and find out this is normal at his age than for it to be something you never found out about and be too late. Also since I see you have taken him already, I would ask them to recommend you to a place that will take you more seriously. This is a serious matter.
I’d get him back to the doctor. He very well could have sleep apnea. That’s what it sounds like. They can do a test. He will have to spend the night in the hospital and they monitor him. Unfortunately if he does have it he will have to sleep with a breathing mask on. Good luck!
I would get your baby tested for RSV immediately. THIS CAN LEAD TO DEATH.
In younger children, especially infants and toddlers, RSV can affect their lungs, causing bronchiolitis or pneumonia. These children can develop more severe symptoms after about 2 to 4 days of having regular cold symptoms and after their fever may have gone away, including:
* irritability and poor feeding
* lethargy
* worsening cough
* difficulty breathing, with retractions and nasal flaring
* fast breathing
* wheezing
* hypoxemia (low oxygen levels), although cyanosis, is not common
* apnea, although this is most common in infants under 6 weeks of age
Be sure to call your pediatrician or seek other medical attention if your child’s cold seems to be worsening and you think he is developing more severe RSV symptoms.
