It depends on the type of information.
Based on the scientific data (I am a sleep researcher), sleep is necessary for creative thinking, and integrating memory. So if what you are studying requires you to understand the information, or relate it to what you have learned before, or integrate it into your knowledge in some what, then sleep is necessary.
If you are just memorizing then it shouldn’t matter.
One thing though. If you are so sleepy that you are having trouble paying attention, the data suggest that you may be wasting your time. You can’t retrieve information that never got stored because you couldn’t properly attend to it.
Before going to sleep. As you sleep your brain has time to process what you have read.
I think is the perfect time to study, I can keep everything in my mind for the next day.
It all matters on how you retain information. If your too tired you’re not going to be able to focus let alone remember what you’re studying. Try studying alittle throughout the day. See when is the best time for you this way. Someone told me if you can outline what you are studying and recite the information from just seeing a keyword from your outline, then you’ve got it down.
