Help with my sleep?(sleeping problems)?
Ok before I explain any of this, I have to tell all of you
I HAVE AN EXTREME PROBLEM WITH ANXIETY. Panic Attacks come often. I am 14 years old
Ok, at night, whenever I am REALLY tired, I am afraid to sleep because im afraid of my heart stopping, and I often gasp for breath and I get that burning feeling in my chest when I get freaked out, but then I recover quickly.(This happens a LOT more when I am on medication that makes me sleepy like Benedryl which is what I am on now) I ALWAYS wake up in the middle of the night(even before the anxiety attacks came)
My brother tells me that I talk in my sleep. And I screamed "Shut up" to him once lol. And I move a lot in my sleep, not thrashing around, but when i was little and I would sleep with my brother, my grandmother would often move me to my bed because I moved on top of my brother.
Do I have sleep apnea?
Because it seems like I have Sleep Apnea, but it ALSO seems like Anxiety.
Cuz it doesn’t feel like my airways are clogged, it feels as tho my hearts going to stop and I often check my pulse VERY often. But when I do get scared and anxious my throat feels tight(which is a VERY Common symptom of anxiety) I DONT snore.
And when I wake up I do get a minor throb in my head(Which is kinda common I hope lol) Not so much a headache, but like a tiny painful pulse in my head.
But im like afraid to sleep at night. I am NOT overweight. And when I calm down and get my mind off of it, it stops and I am able to get to sleep. Which usually happens at around 4-6 am lol.
What do you guys think? Do I have Sleep Apnea? Or a major case of anxiety lol.

I have PTS (Post Tramautic Stress) Because a while ago I had an event in which I almost died, and have been having anxiety since. I don’t remember really having problems with this BEFORE this event. (However when I was a little kid I always did have a small thing with looking up sicknesses online, oh you little hypochondriac you) and freaked myself out over it. However I always have woken up in the middle of the night, but I always sleep with the T.V. on and such so that may be it. But I haven’t started Masturbating till recently ,so I had a LOT of wet dreams, and typically when I have one, I wake up. I remember waking up wet almost every night. lol

it sounds like both but you should try going to a doctors to see if they can help you or maybe prescribe you something to relax you to sleep better.

See if you can get into a sleep study. I can tell you from experience that after a while, benadryl will lose its effectiveness. I’ve struggled with insomnia since I was very young and honestly, I haven’t found anything that helps me. I just have learned to function with less sleep. As for the pain you’re having, you probably grind your teeth, which causes a lot of pressure on your jaw.
Unless you’re overweight or have a history of sleep apnea, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You don’t snore, so it really doesn’t sound like apnea. I think maybe you should start some bedtime rituals designed to help you calm down and get ready for bed. Light some candles, turn off the main lights, get some lavender or chamomile essential oils and use a diffuser to spread the smell around your room, as both of these are good at helping relaxation. I prefer lavender. Drink some warm tea…try Celestial Seasonings’ Tension Tamer tea. It helps me when I have anxiety. Listen to some good, soothing music and relax. Go to the doctor youll be fine, they will perscribe you xanax bars and you will sleep like a BABY !
