Does anyone know what these weird symptoms could mean?
I had bloodwork come back normal, but have the following symptoms:
Low heartrate (51 bpm at rest)
Low BP (90/55 – on average)
Extreme sensitivity to cold (I mean EXTREME)
Low Body Temperature (36.1 – 36.5)
Pale, yellow skin
Extreme exhaustion
Hair falling out like crazy
Scant menses (watery and thin, lasting just 2-3 days…)
I’ve had these symptoms over 2 years and I think it’s something thyroid related, but they tested my thyroid/iron and said it was within normal limits…. I even have swollen legs, dry skin, sleep apnea and sore joints….I’ve also begun to gain wait in my stomach, quite quickly (gone from 130 – 140 lbs within a couple months)
Lately, I’ve been noticing my face looks absolutely haggard, with sagging, wrinkly skin that seems to worsen by the day.
Yes, I am 34 and I expect some of these things, but not with such rapidity – and also, I was extremely youthful looking until just one year ago….I feel like I’m falling to pieces physically and no one can tell me why….I also had my hormones test normal.
Anyone have a similar experience with an answer?

These symptoms appear to be associated with hypothyroidism and hypoglycemia.
When a person is hypothyroid they are also often hypoglycemic.
You need to ask the doctor for a complete thyroid panel. This will measure free T4 and T3 levels as well as check for auto-antibodies.
Auto antibodies are associated with auto immune mediated hypothyroidism.
The total T4 test reading is often misleading because it measures hormones bound to proteins rather then the free unbound hormone levels.
The free T4 and T3 hormone tests measure the unbound hormones, giving a more accurate reading than the only a total T4 reading.
An endocrinologist, or a hormone specialist, are the best doctors to see for hormonal issues.
Lastly, sometimes the thyroid panel appears normal but a hormone specialist will attempt a therapeutic trial of hormone therapy to rule out sub-clinical hypothyroidism.
Sub-clinical hypothyroidism is diagnosed, if the patient feels better on a small dose of thyroid replacement hormone.
You might need some additional testing for other diseases than thyroid which will require some specialized blood work. You might want to go to an internal medicine specialist or an endocrinologist in order to get an answer.
