Are you using a BiPAP machine for sleep apnea?
I have just received mine and every time I try to use it, I get cramps in my toes and muscle twitching in my legs. At first, I could only use it for about 15 minutes. After 3 days, I’m up to about 40 minutes, but I do not fall asleep and I can’t keep using it after the twitching starts. Once I turn off the machine, it takes about half an hour before the twitching subsides.
My provider is very supportive. She’s changed the settings twice and I’ve noticed some improvement. I have a ResMed VPAP ST.

I am sleeping with CPAP machine for more than 4 years now. But the machine I am using is a straight CPAP – Reperonics with a constant pressure of 10. My experience with Resperonics BiPAP with pressure settings 7-15 wasn’t that positive. Allegedly BiPAP should be more sensitive to your inhale – exhale cycle, hence it should create more positive sensation, in reality I wasn’t able to get use to it. Maybe I dint try for reasonably long period. Each CPAP equipment needs to be adjusted to it.
In a reference website you can take a look at machines I been using and also all CPAP masked I’ve tried. Good Luck!
There might be something wrong with your settings on your machine. I would call the people who dispensed this machine to you and talk with them about your symptoms because these are not normal symptoms. You should be able to put the machine/face mask on and have a good night’s sleep. Something is wrong. You do not have to "build up" your sleep time with these machines.
