I have problems sleeping almost every night. I wake up many times and I have a hard time staying asleep. Even taking tyelenol pm doesn't help some nights, other times it will keep me asleep. It doesn't really seem like I have racing thoughts that keep me awake, as that has been the case for me before. Now my body just doesn't stay asleep. I also always feel uncomfortable in many positions and change alot. My family has told me that I sometimes gasp for breath or breathe weird but I don't know how often that is.
I feel like I need a sleep study just to get something solved but I am running out of insurance pretty soon and I wondered how much they are, if it is worth getting one, and what happens during it.

I am not sure what is the cause of my constant fatigue.

If you don't use a sleep apnea machine and you have had a open heart surgery 5 yrs ago, can it put you at a huge risk of heart attack or whatever……and could die too??

Can it also affect other parts of your organs in your body?

I have sleep apnea and have a tonsillectomy scheduled for later this year. How well does this fix sleep apnea?

I've been reading up on this condition, however, I am still not sure if that may be my problem. I do not want to go to the doctor for no reason. I was hoping that someone with this condition can help me find out if I do need to go see a doctor.

My symptoms are sleepiness during the day. Some days I am so sleepy that I am irritable and just not fun to be around. I am usually tired like I had no sleep the night before or as if I had been doing a lot of work, which is usually not the case. I cannot remember a night when I got less that 8 hours of sleep. I usually get 8 to 10 hours every night. Mostly 9 or 10. However, when I get up, I am dizzy and tired and I definitely do not feel well rested. I think twice before getting out of bed because I still feel tired. When I do get up I do not usually feel sleepy then, only tired. It is during the course of the day that i become sleepy. Sometimes very sleepy that I have to get up and do something or I will fall asleep. I am always tired.
I forgot to add that I do not snore, at least I don't think, but I really don't think so.

his machine broke, and all the company and insurance companys tell him is that he has to get 2 referals, and it would be some time before he can get a new sleep apnea machine (or to repair it).is there an easy way to pass all this red tape?

He uses a CPAP and forgot to pack the nasal pillow.

He's propped up on 3 pillows and sleeping sitting up, but I want to find something for him.

Went to a sleep apnea test. What else can Physicians tell about such a test. I was hocked up to about 36 different electro cables.
Thanks. I looked very funny after being hocked up to all these electrodes.

(sorry for the grammer and spelling)
So far i found out that tissues at the back of your throat are collapsing and that's normal but the thing that prevents it from collapsing is the problem.

Well, my cousin's son (infant) is having a problem breathing and some doctors said that there is something wrong with the brain (the neurons go to something, i don't know; i'm sorry). The probable diagnosis was central end-peripheral sleep apnea or obstructive sleep apnea.

My fiance has sleep apnea and needs a sleep test done so that he can get the machine to help make it better. He has no insurance as he is out of work. We have been trying to find free sleep tests in Ohio but have had no luck.

Does sleep apnea machine usage stop/prevent snoring?
Does the machine make noise?

My husband is getting a machine this week. I would like to know if he will stop snoring and I can sleep better. Or, will the machine be loud and disturb my sleep?

Well I've had unrefreshing sleep for about idk 2 years, luckily it hasn't deteriorated my school grades too much. I've also been diagnosed with major depression but I'm thinking is it depression that is affecting my sleep or could it be something else? It always feels as though I never actually go into deep sleep.
basically what are the symptoms of sleep apnea? and you reckon i should check whether i have it just to be completely sure because my antidepressants have done nothing for my sleep.

How much is the sleep apnea machine? All equipments?Total?

I have been on a CPAP for 18 months now, and acquired United Healthcare Choice Plus insurance several months ago. Will they cover my masks, CPAP and future sleep treatments?

I recently did a sleep study and found that I have obstructive sleep apnea and it causes me to wake up during the night – often many times. I go through cycles where the problem gets much worse, one night of poor sleep leads to another worse night of interupted sleep, and so on – sometimes for a month or even more. I have heard that sleep deprivation makes the symptoms of sleep apnea much worse, and as I am searching for the right treatments, I was just interested in finding out why – what is the mechanism that causes this? Very strenuous exercise during the day or early evening can have the same effect. Thank you for any insights.

I used to sleep through the night without waking up most of the time. Now I wake up maybe 3 or 4 times a night. I never get restful sleep. I also experience a lot of sleep paralysis. Could this be linked to sleep apnea?

I now live near the coast in California and use a CPAP machine nightly. I am planning to move to a higher altitude in Colorado (7,000 to 8,000 ft). What effect will this have on my sleep apnea?

I have sleep apnea but Im sure i do not want to use a c-pap or an a-pap machine. Just looking for the next best solution.

What are the chances of a person with sleep apnea dying due to lack of oxygen?

Anyone ever went for a sleep study? I have to go for one because i have sleep paralysis, wake up gasping and have troubles stay9ing a sleep. My doctor thinks i have obstructive sleep apnea. Is it horribly uncomfortable getting it done? Like could you sleep with all of those electrodes attached to you?

I have Sleep Apnea and need to adjust the air pressure on the machine. I have lost my insurance and can not afford to have it professionally adjusted. If you know how please answer this question. Thanks!
